Seeds of Love Outreach

Seeds of Love Outreach serves people facing unexpected hardship, whether from illness, divorce, the loss of a family member, a natural disaster or economic uncertainty. It meets critical needs like clothing, undergarments, shoes, household essentials and baby items for homeless, displaced and low-income individuals and families as they work toward self-sufficiency. Its mission is to compassionately serve and restore dignity to those in need.

Founders Melissa Rodriguez and Brandi Tuck both know hardship firsthand. Melissa experienced homelessness as a teenage mother, and Brandi raised her child as a single mother while working and attending college. Seeds of Love was formed in 2018 and became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2021.

Seeds of Love helps around 250 people in Northeast Florida each month, and it gives only new items, so the people it serves know they are a first thought, not an afterthought. Volunteers hunt for deep discounts to stretch every donated dollar: just $20 can provide four children with five pieces of new clothing. Its programs include monthly community outreach, an annual Back-to-School event, Family Centered assistance, and Project Love, which supplies new clothing and shoes to children in crisis in Clay County District Schools.
